Whether you’re looking for a special gift for the pet lover in your life, or you want to decorate your own tree with a one-of-a-kind ornament, the Santa Paw Christmas Paw Print Kit is the gift for you!

Each kit contains all of the necessary materials required to make an impression of your favorite pet’s paws, and can be used for either cats or dogs. Each kit comes with pre-measured plaster of paris, step-by-step instructions, and a special card so you can record the pet’s name and the date the paw print was created.

Once the impression has dried, a piece of string can be attached to make a one-of-a kind ornament, and can be decorated to reflect your own personal style. Each impression is quick and easy to make, and is generally dried and ready for display within a week.

This is one present that’s guaranteed not to be returned to the store!

Additional materials recommended (not included in kit)

Vegetable oil, paper towels, bowl of water.

Tips

Dip a paper towel in a small amount of vegetable oil. Wipe their paw with the paper towel. The oil will enable you to make a better defined impression. Also, the paw will be easier to clean.

To make a deeper impression, it helps to have the pet standing. Have a bowl of water on the floor next to the container with the plaster of paris. After making the impression, dip the paw in the bowl of water and rub gently. The plaster will easily come off. Wipe dry with dry, clean paper towel.

If you want to hang the impression after it dries, poke a piece of a drinking straw in before the plaster hardens to make a hole for hanging and then remove the straw after the plaster has dried. Make sure to leave the container uncovered for 7 to 10 days. If it is more humid or rainy it will take a bit longer. All the moisture needs to be out of the plaster before you can cover it. If you cover it too soon the plaster will turn moldy.
